DNR in Toronto
Today I witnessed the launch of Windows Vista™, the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
There were half a dozen sessions divided into three categories which included the following:
- Business and government sessions
- IT professional sessions
- Developer sessions
I mainly attended the Developer sessions and one IT professional session. The session that I was awed by was the Windows Workflow and its family of classes such as the Presentation Foundation, Communication Foundation and such. These API's are now a part of the .Net 3.0 Stack in Vista and Windows Server. Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 support them as well.
There were quite a few swags to be won. The highlight of the show was the DNR team. Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell flew in to be amongst us. In fact, I met them last night at the Beer Market at the Esplanade and then again today.
Below, is a link to the picture, that I had with them along with John Bristowe. Carl is holding a placard titled "Obi Rocks". Man, was it fun or what!!!
